Whether you are looking for support in navigating life stressors or want to dive deeper into trauma work and a better understanding of the patterns you’ve noticed, I will support you every step of the way. I understand the courage it takes to engage in therapy, and I’m dedicated to supporting you as you begin your journey. I believe in empowering my clients to take control of their lives by helping them harness their existing strengths and resiliency. I strive to create a safe, comfortable environment where clients feel open to share, and I always follow your lead when it comes to exploring challenging or complex topics.
As a working mom, I know firsthand the challenges of balancing work and family, which informs my empathetic and realistic approach to therapy. My therapeutic style is informal and client-centered. I hope my clients remember me as a dedicated and supportive partner in their healing journey. I also like to incorporate humor where appropriate, believing that laughter can be a powerful tool in the healing process.
I specialize in treating trauma and have completed basic training towards certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my practice, tailoring my approach to meet each client’s unique needs. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings which have deepened my understanding of the complexities of mental health and the importance of a personalized approach to therapy.
One of my favorite quotes is by Brené Brown, LCSW: “The courage to be vulnerable is not about winning or losing, it’s about the courage to show up when you can’t predict or control the outcome.” I’m grateful for the trust my clients place in me and for the opportunity to help them reclaim their lives with confidence and courage.
I work with individuals from adolescence through adulthood and if you’re ready to take the next step on your path to healing, I’m here to meet you where you are today; I’m here to help.
Feel free to reach out to our office to schedule an appointment. I look forward to working with you.
